Accept my apologies, I’m about to diminish your administrative ideologies,
History is more than the facts of timelines and chronologies,
Math is more than the sums and differences of different quantities,
English is more than stacks of essays being judged upon preset qualities,
If I’m too outrageous, just call the authorities,
But when you write me up, make sure you write down all of these
And keep them in your notebook, take a good look, at the notes you just took
Go home post them on your face book, let people know the words that shook up
Schools, made them lose their cools and look like fools, did I break the rules?
I only spoke my mind, but when I opened my mouth my arrest warrant was signed
listen a little longer, I’m sure you’ll find, that it was never my intention to disturb this grind
Here is my explanation, I’m just sick of having class that’s just a mass of boring-ass memorization,
Teaching the bare minimum because of standardization,
