Why Just a Month
400 years of oppression
200 years of slavery
100 years of racism
50 years of segregation
We marched for days
Boycotted for weeks
Fought for years
And we only get one month out of 12
What the hell

How a Poet Lives Part 4 (Depression, Fear, & Hate)
I am the envious brother of love
Son of a mother who seeks hope in another
Good luck! ! !
I am the dead beat father
Of a non existing child called pride he's buried inside
And I'm barely alive almost asleep
The rhythm of my heart beat keeps me awake
I’m surrounded by demons
But there's no soul for them to take
I lost it along with my sanity
From the inside of the asylum I see
Evil entities
Dark memories
No sympathy
For my self-inflicted
Injuries

Justice?
How does taking a life justify losing a life
What is good without evil what is love without pain
What is worth without vain the strong survive the intelligent live
Live what is living what is a life worth how much can I get for mine
Can I sell it on eBay or Craig’s list no? Can I loan it to the homeless for a few moments
So my home they can with pride say they own it no? Can I donate it to a drug addict
So they can relapse without mishaps because it's hard to use heroin when your veins collapsed
Hard to get high when you 10 feet in the ground in a box with no sound
No light no life I know the answer is no right? So if you can't tell me how much a life is worth
Then u don't have the right to take one from earth justice is rubbish the death penalty wait penalty?
Last time a checked a penalty was 10 Yards or 2 minutes in a box depending on what sports u watch
So what is justice?

How a Poet Loves Part 3 (The Cheat)
The Earth and the Sun have been through everything together
The sun was there from day one nurturing and providing
Everything the Earth every needed but
Temptation is captivating and captures
The souls of even the strongest beings
And the Earth though deeply worshiping the sun
Caught sight of a another
With a fluorescent hypnotizing glow
Magnetizing… attracting the Earth
Loyal but weak willed the Earth gave in
To this beautiful structure known as the Moon
And soon… a secret affair surmised
So the Earth fell asleep with the Moon
And woke up with his lover the Sun
Guilty but guilt free enough
To never admit what he has done
As time drifts by the Earth is greeted with pressure greater than gravity
Gravitates into a state of mind that gradually worsens
Guaranteed to be caught he ask himself was it even worth it
Because the love he shared with the Sun was perfect…
