Tear Drop

Liquid sadness on
My cheek, falls into my palm
Exuding my grief

Sad Irony

Even though you hold me close
You're tangible as ghost
You smile, your lips are curled
But darkness fills your world
You are the defintion of sad irony
And infect everyone, including me
You are the contradiction of all I love

Soprano of Sonnets

Have you ever been a figure skater on paper?
A musician of flowing ink?
Have you ever been a conductor of words?
Or a Picasso of rhyming?
Have you ever captured the beauty of a syllable?
Ever used words to paint meaning?
Have you ever made a verse dance off the paper?
A couplet sing to me?
Has your poem ever really hit someone?
Ever stopped their heart for a moment?
Or took their breath away?
If so, you are a great poet.

Christmas Senses

Decorations on windows
And on the doors are Christmas bows
The angel on top of the tree is pretty, isn't she?
Christmas bells ringing
The carolers are singing
Christmas music is playing
To the sound we are swaying
In my mouth is Christmas ham
Oh! So sweet with Christmas yam
Pie, chocolate and candy for dessert
And don't forget eggnog, Slurp!
Snowflakes falling on my face, burrrr!
My face is freezing from the cold
I hope the wind doesn't decide to stir
When I go home, I'll feel the warmth of the heater
Warming my body and wet clothes

Spring's Accomplishments

Spring brings with it a warm, gentle breeze
Along with the trees sprouting their baby soft leaves
Gently tapping the ground are the soft showers
Bringing around soft, springtime flowers
Now here they come, the butterflies and the bees
Attracted to the gardens and newly awakened trees
The trees emanate such a calming scent of sap
And the birds nestle down for a peaceful nap
As Easter approaches, the sunshine gets stronger
And as spring continues, the days get longer
The spring goes into a deep slumber
And who takes over then? It's summer!

Final Exams

Final Exams are such a big hassle
But I suppose it is worth all the stress
If it is for the cap, gown and tassel
Even though I wish the stress was much less
If only the finals were trouble-free
No one would worry this much or freak out
And we'd be done quick and effortlessly
Finals being easy? I really doubt
So I'll keep trying to get a good grade
And from a big college I'll graduate
Then when I'm a doctor, I'll have it made
But first, my finals, before it's too late
So here I am, still taking my exam
Using everything I just had to cram

Nature At Dusk

Butterfly, butterfly, up so high
Your radiant colors as you glide
As the mockingbird sings so sweet and soft
Flowers of beauty and rich scents fill the air with tranquility and serenity
Bumblebees slowly and delicately hum their lullaby to all the creatures
The stars and the fireflies are nightlights to the creatures' babes
The wolf howls gently and sincerely to call the moon out of the clouds
Woodpecker beating his drum to tell the night it is time to overpower the day sky
At last, it is dusk
There is no movement or sound
The singing, the humming, the howling, the drums, and the wind too, all are silent and idle
Every creature is asleep and peacefully quiet
This is nature at dusk

The Other End Of Analysis

Why do you analyze me?
It's devastating to be torn apart
Taking every simile
Like being alive for an autopsy
I should stop this before
You get an idea to take my heart
Taking my metaphor
You walk over me. I've become a floor!
I don't care if it's used everyday,
It may be common, but don't take that part!
Hey, you'd better give back my cliche!
...And 'always do unto others' they say
I practically have anemia,
Why can't you leave me alone you old fart?
It is my onomatopoeia!
Ow, ow, ow, ow! Hey, stop yanking, will ya? !
You're not just analyzing me, you con
Hey, you know, I'm not clearance at Wal-mart!
Don't even look at my oxymoron!
I'll piously hate you for an eon!
