I Want To Keep Dreaming

I dream when it’s night,
I dream when it’s day,
I dream of what I once did,
I dream of what I will say.

I dream of you,
I dream of me,
I dream we are together,
Together we are free.

I dream of sailing,
Drifting on a cloud,
I dream we are floating,
And together we are proud.

We are proud of each other,
Of what we have done,
Proud of the children,
That haven’t begun.

Was I Dreaming?

Angels watched as I lay sleeping,
Giving me pictures, I started dreaming,
Then from high on heaven above,
I started dreaming of a dove,

This dove it was as white as snow,
Where it disappeared to I’ll never know,
Soon it came back with a twig in its beak,
I looked in the sky and let out a shriek,

A beautiful rainbow, colours bright,
Shining there with all it’s might,
Then I heard someone say,
‘I promise it won’t happen another day, ’

Was I dreaming?
I’ll never know,
I look out the window,
There’s the rainbow!

Dream A While With Me

I dream of rainbows, Bright in the sky,
I dream of lightning, together we cry,

I dream of flowers, I feel such delight,
I dream of spiders, and I scream with fright,

I dream of fish, swimming in the sea,
I dream of sharks, coming after me,

I dream of lambs, frolicking around,
I dream of wolves, Hunting, no sound,

I dream of children, several of them ours,
I dream of them waking, Being up for hours,

Stay with me forever and together we’ll cope,
Because when I dream of you, I dream of hope,

Dream awhile with me and together we’ll see,
Not all dreams are bad, so dream along with me.

Work Hard, Play Harder

Work seems to be mandatory,
For people like me,
Slaving over books at school,
Just to get the grades,

We don’t have much money,
So after school I work,
Cleaning, babysitting, retail,
It’s tiring after awhile,

Homework and coursework,
Two more pains of teenage life,
It seems to me that I,
Work all night and work all day,

In the future for many years to come,
I know I’ll have to work,
Uni work and training,
I’ll need a part time job too,
