Civil Slaves
We are not civil servants
We are civil slaves
Servants work
and get paid
Slaves work
without being paid
like us

Voicelessness
Poverty makes the poor voiceless
It muffles their mouths
like a kidnapper muffles
the mouth of his victim
Whatever the poor say
does not matter
No matter how true it is
No matter how wise it is
The poor are not consulted
on their concerns
as if they are dead
Money talks on and on
while the poor are forced to listen on
Poverty makes the poor voiceless

From Mother to Child
From mother to child
From mother to child
the virus moves
like a hereditary disease
If not tested during pregnancy
and protected during delivery
From mother to child
From mother to child
the virus moves
like a hereditary disease
If not tested during pregnancy
and protected during delivery
Let's go for counselling and testing
to avoid the deaths of our children

A Dark Continent
Africa is indeed a dark continent
We have talents but we don't see them
We have a fertile land but we don't see it
We have oil but we don't see it
We have gold but we don't see it
We have diamonds but we don't see them
We have rich rivers but we don't see them
We have wonderful wildlife but we don't see it
Africa is indeed a dark continent
May God open our eyes
that we may see our blessings
