Drowning In My Memory
I wanna hear your voice
I wanna see your face
But my memory
My memory is fading
I just wanna be there
To see your suffering
To hold your hand
And know how to say sorry
I would cherish your tears
To me they’d be gold
But my eyes are failing
But my heart is starting to beat
I’ll reach out to you
To you through this fog
But then your sweet smile frowns
And in my memory you begin to drown

My God lives
For as the sun rises and sets
I am sure that my God lives
For as the grass grows and withers
I am sure that my God reigns
For as the tides roll in and roll out
I am sure that my God loves
For as the leaves sprout and fall
I am sure that my God forgives
For as the rain gathers and pelts
I am sure that my God is Lord
For as the praises rise and heighten
My God listens and rewards the humble
For as the prayers of sinners are cried and mumbled
My God hears and grants the weak strength
For as I sin and fail Him
My God lifts me onto two feet
And guides my steps home
