King Of The Cage (Naani)
Balanced on one foot,
Head cocked to one side,
Blue plumage fluffed out bold,
Proud king of his cage.

Gaia Mantra
Open your soul and be surprised,
open your eyes and be energised,
open your mind and be mesmerised,
open your heart and be hypnotised,
by the beauty that is found worldwide,
but also held by the spirit inside.

Humanity
It’s easy to know
that you know not
but then learn,
As it is to
cipher reality
but then discern.
It’s as difficult to
keep an open mind
and not to think,
as it is to
open your eyes
and not to blink.
It’s important to be arrogant,
self-conceited and egocentric
yet keep your humility,
As it is to be immune to feeling
and impervious to pain
yet keep your humanity.

Daybreak
As you’re yawning,
this very morning,
you will discover,
your natural lover.
I’m held by your smile,
just for a little while,
as you playfully tease,
like a summer breeze,
tantalising me,
with your beauty.
Held in your arms,
captured by your charms,
warming me like sunshine,
here it’s always summertime,
so I’ll never be,
cold or lonely.
So early in the morning,

Ever Rest
I stand upon a mountaintop,
and I yell out my name.
All I hear in reply is an echo.
The voice that comes back to me,
whispers upon the mountain’s breeze.
Its words sound hauntingly hollow.
But I cannot stop myself,
I continue to talk my twin in reply.
Telling her of my sorrow.
Her whispered words come to me,
reflecting upon my feelings.
In her voice I wallow.
But at least she is my friend,
Everest and her rocky minions.
Giving me a path to follow.

Words Of Warmth
Perhaps you have never been told,
that your heartbeat is a special treasure,
which cannot be bought or sold,
not with diamonds that are forever,
nor with a mountain of gold.
I’m not trying to be good or clever,
I just want you to see what I behold,
for you and my thoughts are together,
and I would even be so bold,
to say that no matter what the weather,
be it summer’s warmth or winter’s cold,
autumn’s leaves or even spring’s heather,
in my dearest memory; you I will always hold.

Duskdown
As you are roaming
Into twilight's gloaming
Look into Love's eyes
Please don't compromise.
Have you a moment to spare,
Some time to stop and care?
With your heartbeat to share
To free me from despair?
Cast your loving eyes over me
To find my hidden beauty.
With open hands I plead,
Will you pause and heed?
Have I a chance to supersede
Your heart to let love succeed?
Hum Amore's theme in retort
Give me your tenderest thought.
So as the early evening

Fall Down On Me
Another overcast, rainy and lonely day,
Silently a dropp of rain splashes down,
Cloudburst inundates sorrowful array,
Coruscant angelic tears fall upon frown,
Looking to the dark griceous clouds,
Arms outstretched, extended apart,
In an attempt to make heavenly shrouds,
Drop a bomb on my sequestered heart,
Blasting my blood vessels into action,
Billowing out a wave of excitement,
Clearing a path for potent attraction,
Searching skyward for passionate scent,
Starting stardust cascades of confetti,
As love does finally fall down on me!

Cappuccino In Portofino
Houses painted in bilirubin sunglow,
Escarpment trails lead from St Georgio,
Jutting rocks cause oceanic spray,
Jaw dropping visuals on display,
Cobbled streets dipped in florid faces,
Buildings reflecting florentino traces,
Stood proud for the emperors of the Byzantine,
Forts and faro still shine for a Romanesque dream,
But for me, forcita food and laughter,
Echoes in my mind forever after,
As comments and jokes so droll,
Are marinated and drenched in Italian soul,
For merriment over a cappuccino,
Leaves my heart firmly in Portofino.

Douse
Turn the dial, hear it click,
then the water will start to drip,
slowly the water will begin to flow,
filling your body with a warm glow.
Looking towards the ceiling,
you’re struck by a wondrous feeling,
of water rolling down your face,
of water that’s warm to taste.
Then you’ll reach for the shampoo,
that special lotion cleaning you,
then finish off with shower gel,
or soap shaped like a seashell.
Finished, low and behold,
open the door, you’ve gone all cold,
just think you’ve got up early,
just to see your hair go all curly!
