Good Weather

people underestimate the value
in blue skies and good weather,
afterall who would waste such
precious time on the silly ol' weather?
you've gotta love a blue sky
after you've spent months within
your blanket of snow
an have gray skies...

March Twenty-Third, Two Thousand Ten

senioritis~
the ultimate excuse,
oh yes indeed.
here i sit, my studyhall
not the most useless class of all
no of course not.
so here i sit, typing this
to you
and as i'm typing this poem
with no work to be done
or at least,
no work i'm going to do
and i will uphold my A's and B's
as my teachers continue stressing
over the work that,
basicly none of us are ever going to do.
Oh highschool,
what fun you really are.

I Can't For The Life of me Spell Holocaust

i'm being honest,
really i can't. i don't know how to spell it.
i know that it was horrible,
and it killed part of my family
in an excruciating, only-human way.
i know that it was specifically
one man's fault in history books,
and millions of people's on the DL.
if it happened here,
i cannot say it wouldn't be the same.
i can't, i'm being honest with you.
look around you at the world you see,
if a holocaust happened
wherever you are in this crazy world...
wouldn't it be the same?

In the end, who will you be?
everyone has a choice to make.

Helping Hands

these hands
these so sore helping hands
and these eyes
seeing through all the black and white,
a monovision more incommon than not,
these hands like talons ripping as fast they can
fish
trapped inside
the barrel
as he cocks his wrist,
that tiny gap of silent air
and in an instant these fish know they're goners,
full of holes
that what this life of mine has been like...
a great tapestry to the biggest moths
and the kindest spiders
as well as the coldest eyes
and the softest hands
however these hands,
rough and dry

A Loving Tale

Oh the ballad of us star crossed two,
we sing we dance we parade
as we so often actually do,
our songs are quiet
introspective sweet nothings
to the ears of the heart,
our dances are wild
spontaneous as our whims
and our parades are private
as we gallivant amongst each other,
our eyes speak this language.
a language i could swear
was divinity in its purest,
no mistakes no misperceptions
just bliss. from one eye to the next.
i wish so hard to feel that one-
exact moment... where for us both
i know,
everything fades away
and all that remains is two,

Forlorn Damnity

swimming in the ocean
which only satisfies so long
the urges of the barbarian call
that wakes and quakes beneath my soul
underneath the inside of my heart
the one true piece of me
that i keep locked away,
for fear that it should catalyze
that i would break away and destroy
everything i ever held dear
but before i knew it he was gone
out the cage and out the door
walking on the bus, in the park, on the floor,
and there it was when i was hit
the only reason i do not fit
i've lost sight of everything
starting from when i saw it all
and now i am simply waiting for the fall.

but what if it never comes...

Crack The Sky

the thunder outside
echoing across this land,
a voice of reason across insane minds
and stable hearts
the lightning crack
that tears the sky,
as if thousands of screaming voices
lamenting their tormentations in hell,
they split the sky
a crack a bolt a jolt
of thunderous lightning
Zap to the soul what youth has lost
and rewrite our chemistry
filling the blood with seeping hot plasma,
oh lightning you crack the sky
and bring about the new
it's raining, it's raining,
oh it's raining
and the lightning splits the sky
a crack a bolt a jolt

An Odd Pair

An Odd Pair
yes we are
we make for an odd sense of humor
or possibly ill
one of us is great the other is runnin late
we're the opposites you always hear about
one the internal external optimist of fun and good times
the other more lonerish and a bit off-base
we don't know much about each other
but we know enough to matter
know enough to count
looking at the sky one night
searching for the stars aligned like i remember
thinking about anyone close to me
your face coming to mind early on
and then again later
you're like a sister or a bestfriend
i'll stick with you until the end
we make an unlikely duo of friends
almost like symba and timone

Music Man (The)

hey there mister music man
play your music like you did
last night when i saw you live
on fifth and amsterdam

hey there mister music man
spread your music 'cross the land
i'd follow you from here to there
just like you asked when i was there
but sadly i cant follow through
for my bestfriend is terminal
they say its name is Cancer

hey there mister music man
play your music spread your love,
like you did on 5th and amsterdam
would you come play for my friend
mister music man
