Passages Of Time

The stolen time of days now passed
Repaying the debt we owe
The birds have finally stopped singing
And the flowers no more grow

There is a time for everything
That will ever be
A time to live, a time to die
Even time for you and me

If the end comes far too quick
And time collapses: beware!
We would have to refund our arrears
By spending time in the pits of despair

Father Time has taken his share
As the sun sets on the final day
Let us just hope that you and me
Have no more debt to pay
