A Company of Angels

The fellowship to which belong
Starts with worship and with song
The company of angels there
Lift voices sweet beyond compare

The voice of God speaks in the ear
To each His child who wants to hear
To comfort those with contrite heart
For you my child I'll never part

Your life a little troubled still
I know of child and will fulfil
The things that I have promised you
I'll give my joy and bring you though

So when you're next in deep despair
Remember this my child I care
For I am with you to the end
For I alone you can depend

No evidence that things have moved
While asleep
There’s been no warning

Yet when you were young
Milk teeth fell out
Mum said put them under bunny
A tooth fairy
Will come at night
And exchange them for some money

He made me feel a fool

(not really it just rhymes, next time I’ll beat the butt of him)
(With the cue)

Well that’s another story
What this poem's really about
That Christmas is such a humbug
It seems to have lost its clout

What’s happened to its meaning
Got lost in the course of time
Some idiots say it's offensive
And could not care a dime

Leave Jesus out of Christmas they cry
For fear of losing face
