You always need a friend
Someone to be by your side
From beginning to the end
Through the ups and downs of this roller coaster ride

You always need a friend
That is generous and caring
Who will help you fix what's ruined
And laugh at what you're wearing

You always need a friend
Who has a good sense of humor
And will put to an end
If they heard wrong of you in a rumor

That you can trust with anything
Someone that you could depend
On and talk to about everything
