Impressive Stimuli
On the horizon where the earth meets the sky,
the game birds cry.
The winds that blow the clouds that go passing by,
sing and sigh.
The trees, hills, valleys, streams and rivers nearby,
seem to testify.
That gifts of nature laid out so skilfully, for us to spy,
make our eyes amplify.
And no one viewing the scene can therefore deny,
this is impressive stimuli.

The Joining
With our fingers entwined,
We do not mind,
Where we might be,
Or who might see,
How much we care,
How much we share,
This closeness so comfy,
For him and for me,
Here now on show,
Saying, I love you so.
So let's tell the world,
With our fingers curled
Within each other's hand,
That this joining was planned.
And we'll travel as one,
Into the setting sun.

Maybe Tomorrow
She had to give her child away,
Only she, knew the circumstances,
Her heart, turning into clay,
As every new day advances.
The hurt becoming so acute,
How could she live this way,
Guilt was gradually taking root,
And nothing one could say,
Would take away the sorrow,
Would take away the pain,
Of wishing that maybe tomorrow,
She could hold her child again.

Minstrel Days
End not your minstrel days in quiet repose,
But play your music still, strong from the heart,
And as a poet sings out his melodious prose,
Your refrain will now rouse other tunes to start.
Then joyfulness will fill your barren mind,
And lighten up the paths that you will take,
And as this harmony now becomes entwined,
It enters into your soul, a home to make.

So Much To Gratify
I stepped onto the grass, soft beneath my feet,
Walked under trees, shaded from summer’s heat.
Watched sunbeams sparkling between branches spread,
With birds all chattering high above my head.
A dream of a day, low energy revived,
Serenity and peace, also had arrived.
Nature has so much to gratify my heart,
This earth’s landscape unveils perfect works of art.

You And Me
My universe, that's what you are,
My morning sun and my evening star,
The reason for every step I take,
And help with every move I make,
Your voice a comfort to my ears,
With arms to protect me from my fears,
I'm constantly surrounded by your love,
You cohere to me, like a tight fitting glove,
Without you, I would a 'no one' be,
For I am you, and you are me!

This Fragile Frame
Open the door, and let my soul escape,
To the faraway hills and shimmering lakes of my life,
And my wounded spirit, now with solace drape,
To flee from all the sorrow and the strife,
That builds, within this fragile frame, that's me.
And let not one single thought be free of thee,
For I shall with this heart, submit a plea,
That we'll be together, for all eternity.

My Space
You entered my space
The space that was mine alone
It was my cocoon
I felt safe there.
Then you thundered in and somehow took over.
I treasured my space, it was only for me.
You came and shook my fragile walls, shattered my peace,
Disturbed my equilibrium.
Now my space isn't my space anymore.
But you gave me something that made my space obsolete,
You gave me your love.

A Secret Place
Within my soul there lies a secret place,
Where I store away my lovely thoughts of you,
And when needed bring to mind your tender face,
Such a potent reminder of a love so true.
Within my soul such sentiments are mine,
The private niche, in which I can reminisce,
And all that I have there impels my heart to shine,
For you are my world, and to me that's utter bliss.

A Regal Vision
At the sound of the beat of wings,
The sky with power was filled.
Geese on their long journey southwards,
In ‘V’ formation drilled.
A sight, as their amazing cries,
Floated across the blue.
Each bird knowing its position,
As the great flock onwards flew.
All such fascinating creatures,
Special, every one.
What a regal vision they offer,
Flying towards the sun.
