I search the night time sky
and find you
peeping through the clouds
that bind you
shades of midnight blue
surround you
I see tears upon the moon
I search your battered orb
and hear you
while mankind struggles
to be near you
disrupting moon dust thick
beneath you

I search your waxing and
your waning

Summer Lament
The temperature keeps soaring
I feel wet from sweat that's pouring
and I'm physically sick from all this sun
If I keep up this perspiring
I'll be ready for expiring
I've had quite enough of summer
'cause its too darn hot
All this heat has got me weeping
Interfered with nightly sleeping
and I've gotten kinda crabby, so they say
If this heatwave doesn't break
I'll go mad for goodness sake
I've just had it with the summer
'cause its too darn hot
The mercury keeps rising
so it shouldn't be surprising
that I'm not a happy camper, no I'm not
