Male Lenore
This sonnet I've penned for his eyes alone
Stabbed by the thorn of his love I have died
Erasing memory of all I've known
If only he knew the blood my heart's cried
Insignificant other by his side
Seeing them together expires sanity
Trying to kill his thoughts of making her bride
With green eyes I have lost my vanity
Screaming his name in my head in repeat
Lost in this silence that flows oh so deep
Melodramatic, defeat of defeats
But with obsessions you sow what you reap
Just as the raven may quote "nevermore"
I remain in love with the male Lenore

The Medium
Rays blind,
As I surface on celestial sands
Speaking in different tongues,
I think that this could be heaven
Darkness shines,
As I climb on gossamer hilltops
Singing in different pitches,
I think that this could be utopia
Frigidness implodes,
As I turn on past rage
Staring in different obsessions,
I think that this could be a downfall
Plague explodes
As I forget on life's importance
Stabbing in different wavelengths,
I think that this could be hell

Waterboy
He fools with knives
Cutting the knots
Binding our souls
But who are we to say we're misunderstood?
Occupying the outskirts of the ocean
We are caged by a wall
Released by a well
And yearning to escape folly conformity
He drags me to the bottom
Silence without oxygen
Bubbles remind us we still need to breath
And I pull him to the surface
Sitting on the concrete edges of our home
We reminisce on the love
He will never truly confess
But I will always pretend to hear

Deep Seawater Eyes
Oh how I covet him, beloved child
With deep seawater stare and beguiling smile
Barely a pre-teen, yet he appears in my dreams
A euphoric Don Juan Demarco
For I was a child, and he was a child
In this region of Piedmont green
But the urge for an illustrious golden maiden
Captivated him away from me
Although his locks still tug my heart
My diamonds are in drought
The shadow that lingers in the past
Will be clung to him without a doubt
Oh how I still intrinsically love him, angelic demon
With teen heartthrob dress and egotistical gait
Though long ago I've ceased to wait
On a fancy that will never kiss me

Love, Lace, and Lies
Shut under lock and key
Masking my identity with mystery
Love, lace, and lies
A just melody to raise my final goodbyes
Flourishing the last line of destiny with turmoil
Love
A foolish thing my sanity depends on
Where my heart is racing and my brain is gone
The most important part of my epic trilogy
Rising notes to the heavens with the power of a symphony
We learn to love and thus be loved in return
Lace
A final triumphant roar of my brooding elegance
Where my secrets are buried under layers of nonsense
The core heart and soul of my brick by brick barricade
In lace is where my individuality was made
Showing and revealing where my aura is concealing

Unlike Mother, Unlike Daughter
Her heart breaks for something she'll never have
A daughter of perfect honesty and obedience
With fair hair and bright eyes
Everything her son is
Instead the mother bore something strange
A loser, a liar, a Mrs. Lovett wannabe
Swearing not to change
Everything she doesn't want, doesn't need
But her daughter doesn't want to love anybody
She doesn't want love in return
She's sick of man's petty "acceptance"
She doesn't need "lessons" to learn
The Mother explains, "She understands, "
Clichés, "Daughter, tell me anything."
But her daughter knows,
She'd be afraid of what's in her head

Gabrielle
Walking along these fabled roads in a criss-cross pattern
Unable to keep my thoughts sorted
While I float away on the rings of Saturn
Because all the things I've dreamt of
I have dreamt on my own
And when burdened with accusations
I shall always choose to stand alone
I walk with a confidence
My enemies will always know I'm near
For when I walk these troubled hallways
My footsteps ring out crystal clear
I am the raindrop,
That condensed but never fell
And these words that I have written
Are all I have left to tell
My happiness is infinite

My Dark Side
Years of love tainted in the hatred of a minute
Mother will never come to terms,
With the demons that charm me
Darker sides of myself,
I can neither explain nor avoid
Not even I can fully comprehend
This impulsive obsession
This violent transgression
This hypnotic possession
It prods at my heart with pinprick-sized swords
Leaving small scars
And a cavity of evil
It rules over my senses
Like an ecstasy drug
Leaving a dreadful hangover
And a grocery list of lies

Four Walls
Nobody knows the secrets captivated
Within these four walls
That construct my soul
That rebuild my life
My mind, my emotions, my past, and my present
My mind holds the key
To open all possibility
That may have been granted unto me
As my thoughts are withheld
In words I mold and meld
To acclaim certainty, justice, and divine truth
My emotions control
All storms in my soul
Whether they be sunny or pure catastrophe
As my heart reveals
What my tongue urgently conceals

Heartbroken Draftee
Standing in the midst of a rainy April Tuesday
…A rejection in my hands…
In between two blue lines, my beloved penned:
I will never love you
In the middle of a sickened sadness,
An emotional macabre murderous dance
I closed my void, lifeless eyes
To find myself waking up to a nonexistent second chance
I know how it hurts.
I know how it feels.
To have your heart teased, squeezed, extinguished of its spark
Because a soul without a heart
Is just an empty breath of air
A product of the part
Sobbing in the shower so that I cannot count the tears
