Vintage Purpose

Oh God, to worship Thee with praise;
I, but a mere grape from hallowed vine;
May your gift of poetry, flow through me as Christian;
Likened to a sweet vintage wedding wine?
Alas, but for a season amidst the cluster,
Amongst clusters of sweet notes raised;
Lyric this hour of sunshine luster;
A cup of blood crushed, to God's glory be praised!
