Dear RuPaul,
A balancing act
Of makeup and hair
A balancing act
Between him and her
A power fierce
A power strong
A power many would pierce
A power many consider wrong
A wig collection
Upon her head
A face painted to perfection
By so many happily read

Dear Kathy Griffin
A public display of ambition
With no remorse or sense of taboo
Not ashamed to admit to an operation
You never know what she is say ‘bout you!
A woman filled with words of sin
A woman who knows life better than others
Almost killing herself to be thin
A life over shadowed by her own mother’s
A strong black woman
That’s what she is
A cunning woman
Who is immersed in show biz

In The Jungle
I am running through the brush
Oh the wind it slaps my face
I am running through the dirt
Running towards my fate
In this place
I am one with nature
In this place
I feel no pressure
So free so free
I’m somehow blessed
To be free so free
From everything else I can now rest
I’m in the jungle
All alone
That’s how I like it
To everybody else I am unknown

Dear Shakira,
Oh eyes like hers
Are eyes so real
Oh eyes like hers
Give off sweet feel
A woman of talent
A woman of great voice
With no fear; just gallant
She is the voice of choice
If her songs could fly
They’d look like exotic birds
Who would go up so high
They’ll not squeak, but say good words
A woman of the most natural beauty
Who deserves the best of luck
A woman of the purest beauty
For whom many are reasonably love struck

Tight With Might
No one will come between us
No stranger will tear us apart
You are mine now baby
And you have my total heart
We are tight with might
Our love unbreakable
With hands held tight
Our love unshakable
We will always be together
Until the end of time
We’ll always be together
No matter if which gears might grime
Tight with might
This can’t feel more right
Tight with might
Together we will fight

(Japan) Out Of The Sea
Tides, wind, and shaking quakes
I cried for hours when the waves
Crashed in, into them
Who gave us the Tamagotchi
And gave us everything cute
But nature knows nothing
But they are proud and ready
Pull out of the sea. Don’t drown!
You’ll rise again without a doubt
The waters that have covered the land
Have led so many to lend a hand
And you’ll rise out of the sea
Just like Godzilla or a proud creature
Out of the ocean you will rise
And fight to survive another century
Words of sorrow and tears of pain
The quake destroyed everything
And the water washed it away from you
But to dropp dead and give up is a crime

Strong Black Woman
Baby, such a long life, my child
So many stories I have to tell you
Of slavery and of tragedy
Sit down and listen to my tales
Everybody thinks that the strong black woman died
No, she only stood back because she had not cried
She took a minute to rest. She cried. Her heart so heavy
But she’s back, baby. And child, she’s so pretty
I’m a strong black woman, and I am fighting
Don’t mess with me; I’ll leave your eyes shining
I give these children all the love they crave
I’ll beat away any energy that makes life grave
Hallelujah, the strong black woman still lives
Hallelujah, the strong black woman still gives
Hallelujah, can you feel the strength of her?
Hallelujah, this woman is one you can’t deter

Dark Circles
Never have I seen anything so clear and promising
As the landscape rolling before my eyes at this moment
Now I see that there is a force I must stop resisting
The readiness to rebuild is becoming more potent
The ashes of what used to be play in the dry wind
And I see a beautiful vision that looks so kind
Dark circles made of ash dance in the air around me
I begin to dance in the beautiful storm and I smile
Why is it that I laugh when there is no light to see?
Why do I dance when I will soon face a testing trial?
There is something exciting and humbling in darkness
From this darkness I will soon find a new grand happiness
In my heart I am feeling the new life. I feel paralyzing
In my mind I am prepared to rebuild. Nothing now stops me
I can feel that soon I will be on top and I’ll be blazing
I can feel that soon I will be revered and I’ll be free
So, why not dance with the swirls of ash so black and dry?
I would rather dance now then continue to hopelessly cry

I'm The Richest Woman
You should know
I’m the richest woman!
I’ll tell you now
With more than you!
Do you hear me?
I’m the richest lady!
Pay attention
Wanting money
Wanting something
Anything other than poverty
You see I’m terribly poor
I fell in love with being at the bottom
Poorer than a church mouse
I could easily end up in a hovel
Yet I won’t cry over a ripped blouse
You see I have no money to worry about
No finances to keep me up in terrible doubt

Hermana Alacran
Fool who knows not of Romance Language
There is a language of strength and power
She came out from the dirt covered in jewels
With hips that can leave man in awe
She came with a heart set on grandeur
I come from the scorpion family
I am a Sister Scorpion that is my name
Loyal until the end to my creed
Why is it that in this world I am allowed to do this?
Why do I know exactly what’s wrong with this bliss?
A Utopian Society would be full of secrets and lies
The scorpion sister would know and she would find cries
You see in Spanish there is a saying that goes
You are crazier than a scorpion
Estas más loco que un alacrán!
Here is my bilingual play on words
This is written in orange ink on my heart
