Bad Connection

Seeing you every day
Yet always so far away
Is too much for me to bare
The chirping of a bird
Reminds me you're still there
The faces on the wall
remind me of what I missed
Your words of wisdom at my fingertips
leave me wishing I knew you more
All I can say is
I was a fool

Light Bulb In a Night Sky

I'm nothing special in this land of strife
A glitter in a world that shines
Everyone has a goal in life
I think I realize the purpose of mine

The story that you read
Isn't really about me
I'm just looking for my lead
The one everyone will see

I think I've found them
Someone who I can stand behind
A leader who wont condemn
The two of us truly aligned

A path covered in rain
Lightning streaks the sky
Thunder calling my name
The wind letting water fly

Am I simply insane?

I wish for something more
As I sit in the eye of the storm
Hoping for a strength that's impossible to ignore
So you'll see me outside the norm

You are more pressure than I need
The inspiration for this hurricane
You wont let me be freed
You're stuck in my brain

Shift In Thought

Cars racing above my head
Pills that hold a days worth of bread
Skyscrapers towering over us all
Societies no longer surrounded by walls

A utopia we used to see
A place that was very real to me
Was quickly replaced with something new
A completely different change of view

A wasteland covered in smoke and ash
The few who remain find reasons to clash
We return to our tribal ways
amongst the radioactive haze

A land I never want to see
A place that may one day be
Could quickly become reality
The proof of our races mortality
