A Little

I give a little
You ask a lot
I give a little
You want all I got
I give a little
You want my best
I give a little
You request the rest
I give a little
You demand of me more
I give a little
You keep me empty and poor
I give a little
You say I lack all that you need
I give you all that I have
But it still falls short of your greed.
'closing thought'
Some people will never have all they desire
For their greed shall consume them like flames of a fire

Lonely Tree

A lonely tree
On a lonely hill
Wishes to be
A forest still
Thou all alone
It dreams of more
Of seedlings grown
From its forest floor
Their branches growing
Ever climbing high
So feverish flowing
To reach blue sky
Covering this land
Beyond its view
A forest grand
All fresh and new
A sight to behold
It would surely be
A dream so bold
For such a lonely tree.

Silver State

Nevada.. battle born she was
A rightful triump for the unions cause
For her wealth both sides would fight
Hoping they could win her might
In her silver weighed her worth
This brought fourth Nevada's birth
So when her country made the call
She helped bring freedom to one and all
We still stand ready to do what's best
This silver state from the wild wild west.
'closing thought'
Trust the battle not always to the one so strong
For without support of many they don't last long

Life Alone

How does one justify a life lived alone
How does one love if they have never been shown
A life lived alone is a life lived in vain
A life lived alone has very little to gain
Why would anyone choose to live this way
Why would anyone choose to be alone everyday
Is it living alone a shy reality to blame
Is it living alone yet another of societys shame
I stand here alone with a tear in my eye
I stand here alone and wish to understand why.
'closing thought'
A singles life can have its moments of pleasure
But a family life is filled with memories to treasure

Fortress

High on a Hilltop overlooking this Land
with Evil approaching from every side
Safe in my Fortress I will make my stand
against Evils unrelentless Dark Tide
High on the Ramparts I peer into the Night
as Darkness falls across all that I see
I don my Armor and prepare for the Fight
so I might keep this Great Country Free
Free from the Evil that lurks down below
and from becoming another ones Slave
I will Fight to allow this Country to grow
or till this Fortress becomes my Early Grave.
'closing thought'
Evil can be found in the most strangest places
Even behind the Mask of quite friendly Faces

Beauty Within

A desert blossom so preciously rare
Sharing its beauty where very few dare
Adding its color to a landscape so bland
A flicker of life against brush covered sand
For amongst the normal it reigns supreme
A moments clarity in a dark nights dream
It’s a glimmer of hope in this land so wild
Like a parents hugs to a frightened child
For its proof that there exist beauty in all
Whether big and bright or colorfully small
Its blossom still shines for us all to see
Like the beauty within both you and me.
“closing thought”
Beauty is more than just an optical art
It is seen more clearly when viewed by the heart

Summers Love

Flowing breezes with gentle heat
Fragrant flowers scents so sweet
Blinding sunshine from up above
Spring romance now summer love
Bathers search for the perfect sun
As summer season has now begun
Golden bodies on the sandy beach
A summer love within their reach
The song of summer is on the air
As heartbeats join as one to share
With fiery lips they so gently kiss
Sharing a moment of loving bliss
As darkness falls upon the shore
Their feelings deepen ever more
With starlight falling from above
They lose each other in summer love.
“closing thought”
Share the love you have to give
And love the life you choose to live
