Raven Black.

Oh Raven black with pearly eye
You come to watch the living die
You perch amid this graveyard scene
The silence broken by your scream
Now you hop from side to side
Across these stones so bleak
What is it in this place of death
That you hope to seek
Do you see the souls
Leave broken shells upon the earth
Do you watch the weeping mourners
With your silent mirth
Is the stamping of your talons
Some kind of macabre like dance
Or are you just like me?
A visitor by chance.

Gods Hands.

Once again God claps his hands
And the world reacts in kind
To natures fury, in all its wrath
To devastate mankind

Rich or poor, black or white
Theres no discrimination
Be it fire, flood or famine
In its wake just devastation

And so once more we start again
A nation to rebuild
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
And mourn the blood thats spilled

There seems no rhyme or reason
To the suffering and their plight
Or is this just Gods reaction
To tell us, next time get it right.

Pavements of time.

I walk this concrete jungle
On pavements, paved and cracked
So many also passed this way
leaving hidden unseen tracks

Lives untouched have crossed my path
Locked within their frame of time
Yet every action on this earth
Could affect both yours and mine

If contact made, or time delayed
May change the course of lives
Insignificant little incidents
Affecting actions uncontrived

Yet time and nature stumble on
In apparent ignorant bliss
To change the world around us
On pavements such as this.

The Greatest Love.

The greatest love I've ever known
Was snatched away by fate
It left me with dark shadows
Also bitterness and hate

It threw me close to madness
Cloaked my soul in deep despair
Her scent was all around me
Then disappeared into thin air

I felt her breath upon my cheek
Her touch upon my face
Her presence pulls at every step
Like fragile strips of lace

She clouds my thoughts in unknown ways
At night I hear her sighs
I force the burning tears to stop
As they rush to fill my eyes

Such Is The Passion

Such is the passion the want of desire
To burn in the heart with fingers of fire
Wet lashes wrapped up, in a sweet velvet rose
To follow your heart where ever it goes

Such is the passion the heart strings to pull
That the cup runneth over, with emotions so full
To send you to heaven, the stars and above
To make senses reel in the sweet dance of love

Such is the passion in the depths of ones soul
Infuses ones mind and the dreams in the role
Of a lovers sweet kisses, to imprint its mark
Of secret assignations alone in the dark

Such is the passion the fire inside
Shines forth from the eyes, with nowhere to hide
Yet the heart and the mind, will tumble and fall
If signals mistaken, will then wither and stall.
