Harriot Golding

Hearts and horticulture

I wasn’t looking
Crept up like a virus
Wrapped itself around my heart
Did not feel the connection of attachment
Until
It was too late

Leaving me choking
Bonded
What an irony that it’s supposed to be all hearts
And flowers
Not
Hearts
And
Bindweed
