When he Died

My father died
an unnatural death
the postmortem report says
with an infallible accuracy
highper tension resulting in an end
I saw my father
being carried away
by some people
I knew by my heart
My father said not a single word
I can not believe him to be so silent.

Moms are Like That

My Mom used to say
God lived out there
in the sky
and the stars were God's
loving sons and daughters
and she used to count those
stars every evening
taking me into her breasts
saying something
I always failed
to understand
one fine evening
I was with my mom
probably she had something to say
she looked into my eyes
and took me more close to her
looked at the sky
and pointed out an empty space
to me
and said someone was waiting there for her
