Dove Feathered Raven

O' dove feathered raven
your feathers so white,
a sign i mistook
as a failure to fight

But your words struck true
aimed straight at my chest,
my heart broke in two
had i failed the test?

Two halves of a half
lay with jagged edges,
sad men before me
all jumped from their ledges
