Little Poem About Petunia

Purple, as in flowers,
Has an after image of blue
Such that, spreading out from petunia,
One has to check,
If there's a blue bud behind it
Or but the magical quality of
Expansive purple hue.

Magic always comforts me,
(Even if a treatise on optics
Such phenomena might explain) .
If purple can send a bolt
Of blue lightning to my eye
Then I don't have to live flattened,
Heart-crushed and bored silly
By the grey of the limiting,
The soul-deadening mundane.

They say, -Leave the past behind,
If you want to re-invent the future,
Don't be too enamoured of your 'story'.

But I say, -Honor past trauma,
Cry all the tears it warrants,
Take note of the softness of heart
It imparts.

When the time is ripe, only,

But what is the surrounding grammar?
Worry about the swift passing of time?
Don't worry about it......Relax?

I'll go with: Don't worry about it
As that is more consonant with
Previous passages.

But how? how to not worry in
The face of awareness
Of all of these, our troubles?

-Simple. There is no way
-Without the greatest of
-Paradigm Shifts.

Available Entertainment Here in Animal Land!

There are things we can do here
That we cannot do in the AfterLife.

That is because these are 'animal behaviors'
That are driven, unbeknownst to us
By animal drives.

Let's take a look,
(Discern the drives that we obey) :

There's hunting, for the males,
And fighting the competition:
We are busy 'bringing home the bacon'
And besting our enemies,
Who'd love to take our territory.

To keep our energy high, when no enemy face is seen,
We've sports to do or cheer for
(All those feelings have to go somewhere) .
