Where Are You Now

Where are you now?
When will you be back in town?
Who are you seeing?
What are you up to?
I'm a little green
cause I still love you.
But if that's not enough
to bring you back,
then I wish you luck
wherever you're at.

Untitled Unfinished (The Flame That Lights Your Soul)

Take a look to the horizon
the moon is rising fast
through silhouettes and shadows
the hills and trees have cast.

Their empty branches rustle;
the autumn wind blows cold
and the stars begin to flicker
like the flame that lights your soul

Beautiful Blue

Those true blue eyes
as cool as ice they freeze my poor heart
yet warm as skies whem stormclouds part

Those beautiful eyes
remind me of beaches I've only seen in dreams
and vast as the reaches of the purest streams

Those beautiful blue, blue eyes
are as deep as any ocean
but calm, with friendly notion

All these things I see in you
But can they see inside me too,
Those beautiful blue?

I wish I knew...

The Covered Bridge

The covered bridge above a stream
in hues of weathered colour cream,
who's planks once bowed from wheel and hoof -
her carriages now seem aloof,
and paint curls back off every beam.

Traversed by oxen as a team
the wear and tear had been extreme.
Several bids were made to proof
the covered bridge,

but they were few and far between.
Now years gone by, they cross by steam.
Expelling out her grey-white poof,
the churning locomotive's woof,
her trav'lers 'member naught, but dream
the covered bridge.

Awake From A Dream

In the silent of night
the only sound that I hear
is your voice in my head
as if you were here.
In the darkness of night
the only image I see
is the image of you,
you in my dreams.
And in the chill of the night
I only wish I could feel
the warmth of your flesh
from lips down to heel.

In the first morning rays
the only sight coming in
is the radiant glow
of your porcelain skin.
But awake from a dream?
The only reason you're here
is a dream within dreams -

Untitled (Bad Day)

My best days are behind me.
Don't look cause you won't find me
any place you could before.
I'm balled up in the corner;
standby to call the coroner
cause I can't make it, I can't take it anymore.

Sure there's a reason why I'm here,
but that reason's not so clear.
My mind is it's own cancer -
I don't need this,
don't believe this,
just can't seem to find the answer.

It's all a blur
nothing changes, nothing stays the same.
There are no words,
no written pages, no picture just a frame.

There's no light beyond this tunnel -

Missing What I Never Had

She didn't have the time, or the piece of mind
to know a good thing when she saw it coming down the line.
What else could I do? It was hers to choose -
I'd given my all and I got nothin' left to lose.
She's in a different place; didn't have the space
What has it come to, has it all gone to waste?

It's just the same old trend, no she won't even bend.
I guess I'm just one more 'never more than a friend'

If she only knew all the things I would do
I wouldn't be so down, no, I wouldn't be so blue.
And year after year it's my biggest fear
that all I profess is all she'll never hear.
If I persist, will it cease to exist -
this love, I know not of which it consists.

It's just the same old trend, no she won't even bend.
I guess I'm just one more 'never more than a friend'
