Unexpected Memento
a sweet, unexpected gift from a great poet Kevin:
Through the valley of poems I roam
To come upon a little fruit, a sweet morsel
A poem that brews into sentimental foam
Shaping the smile of the poetess Jessel
Her lovely face appears with delectable taste
She hurries to mine heart in passionate haste
Her smile designed from her hearts desire
Her eyes an emotional sea of feeling
Each poem the air of her thoughts fire
Burning her inside, quietly healing
The pain of her and the pain of another
Her smile, her sweet reverie, where she rest in peace
As peace finds rest, in her sweet smile crease…

Silent Confession
The hands that write what lips would dare not say
and eyes that mock what mind would dare to play
of nights lost in the deepest thoughts of him
that dares to say the holiest name of names.
Yet in his chamber near to mine...
I hear what ears would dare not hear -
those sounds which canst my conscience bear
for sins flown by the air.
My soul had wished to clasp the sinner from the sin
to forsake the sneer mockeries of evil I had seen
in my deepest thoughts of him,
that dares to say the holiest name of names.
I cease to recall the priest's chamber near to mine
and tried so hard to let my hands betray
to write what lips would dare not say.

x21-Escape
-Jane Spencers
Why still cry? I chose to die,
I should have smiles tonight.
This place is none for bitter lies,
I thought i chose what's right.
I thought that death is an escape
from pain and all my fears.
I thought that death is all but peace,
but here, peace never cares.
I thought that pain would die with me,
that tears have no place here.
But pain endures...and tears endure;
eternal may they be?
I dreamed, i thought...i always thought
that death could set me free.
I wish I could just die again,
or lose my memory.
Are souls eternal? Is this my fate?
I hunger so for life.

How Can I Love Her?
She's a woman-
I am just a man.
She sleeps with me...
she kisses me.
How can I resist her?
She seems to to love me,
she seems to care
but how can I know?
I cant even dare.
Is she in love with me
and expects me to love her back...
or just playing her game
and wished she'd push her luck?
But how can I resist her?
She's a woman
and I am just a man.
She hugs me in bed...
believes what i said-
but when i touch her,
she keeps her distance instead.

Alma 38: 12
Is an eye a distraction
to the souls whose owned by the heavens?
When their eyes met, did others notice
that their souls have warred, yet their hearts united;
Bridled passions unbridled, but the feeling's never wanted...
From her eyes to his own
was I the only one to notice
the eternal words were uttered
yet those words were never said.
When he looked away from her
was I the only one to wonder
why those words were never uttered
why the tears were never shed?
Unbridled passions bridled, for the feeling's never wanted.
Still, the melodies of the mem'ries never end...
and only elements of heavens know when
their eyes would meet again.

Poignant Escape
I would forever be miserable
with your painting hanging on my head.
Even a hundred angels would lament
on the sadness sketched upon your eyes;
the loneliness on your face
is alive on your lifeless facade,
my love...
forgive me
for the broken notes
that lie on your lips.
Your unseen tears are more certain
than the air I breathe
just looking at you;
oh a hundred angels would mourn
on the agony painted on your visage.
What agony that is,
I could not name it;
what pain, I could not explain.
My heart is drowned
over your grievous tears.

Between Hatred and Desire
He thought I was sleeping
but I was not.
I felt his heavy stares on me,
I heard his heavy sighs.
And then for a magic moment
he touched my face;
so soft that i could feel
feathers kissing my dainty cheeks.
And then for a pretty moment
he said those pretty words;
so soft that i could hear
eternity from heaven in his voice.
He touched my face
with murmurs of delight...
oh, how i wish the stars would
fall tonight!
I was caught between
my hatred and desire...
as i felt his body close to mine,
I fairly fought the fire.

If I Kiss You
Why waste your life for a long lost love?
Why waste your pretty smile -
even the spring upon the ancient skies
would never walk that mile.
Why waste your time remembering,
reviving what was past?
Why waste your pretty lips unkissed-
Can I kiss you then at last?
If I kiss you, would your eyes lose their coldness,
would your stone heart melt away?
If I kiss you with my soul upon my eager lips...
would I sweep your heart away?
If I touch your lips with my lips,
would you kiss me in return-
or tell me that there are no sparks
as stars don't give their own.

x17-I Was Wrong
(I suggest you read first the COLD WATERS)
-Clarisse Spencers-
I thought God gave her everything.
I used to envy her
as she got what I wanted.
She had all the charms, the looks...the brain;
She played with the piano
while i played with some men.
She knew all the books
which are strangers unto me...
she sang in heaven tunes
as i trailed off completely.
She's got an angel's face
that one would be amazed;
She got the tender sweetness,
you can see it in her grace.
She got all I wanted,
and she got my mother's heart.

Two Little Turtles
I saw them-
two little turtles holding hands
standing heads up above a dark stone;
One was slightly above the other,
clutching his lover's hand.
I went near them and stared as the
one below hid her face from me.
Sweet as they seem, I wondered
if ever they, in their graceful moves
feel the heat of the passion built.
The passion of touching one another-
of just even being close to each other.
I wish you'd see them too...
two little turtles holding hands.
I looked up at the sky waving at me
as though he saw the loneliness in my eyes.
And then i wondered where you are
and when can i hold your hand,
or when can i just be with you;
when can we be together
