Letting Go
throat,
And they are choking me with nothing but pure resentment.
Oh if only I would have known such torment I could have saved this old heart from.
If only I would have listened to what all the others had said,
Long before all this mass destruction was done.
But, I am a fool of all fools,
And I deserve only what I get,
And staring out across what is now The Ruins,
I know this I shall never forget.
I took a chance,
Then I watched it all come tumbling down,
Shattering into a million pieces of what might have been,
Upon the ground.

My Last Breath
I believe,
The time has come for me to move on.
My breath shall no longer blow,
My heart shall no longer beat strong.
This physical body I shall leave behind,
But, my Soul will be set free.
There will be no more pain no more sadness,
Nothing left in which to hurt me.
Sadly I must leave behind what has always meant the most,
Only because I know I am not what they need.
They deserve to be happy not watch me suffer,
Their much better off, indeed.
So as I prepare for my long journey Home,
I finally begin to feel some peace of mind.
Soon all this will be behind me,
And eternal peace I too shall find

“validation”
A little bit of validation,
I guess that is too much to ask.
There is nothing right anymore between us,
There is no way in hell this can last.
You don't seem to care
That I feel this way.
I make you treat me like this,
Is what you always like to say.
That is the lowest form of a cop out,
You could possible give.

Oh, My Darling Daughter MaKayla
Oh, My Darling Daughter, MaKayla,
My God, how I have missed you.
I thought of you every second of every day,
Always wondering just what it was that you were up to.
You had thought that I had forgotten,
But, Baby Girl, I cannot ever forget.
None of the Hell that we all went through,
Nor any of the things that I may now regret.
Oh, My Darling Daughter, MaKayla,
I love you, so very much.
It practically killed of these past years,
How you and I some how lost touch.
Oh, My Darling Daughter, MaKayla,
I am so proud of you, and whom you have become.
You are Intelligent and Beautiful,
And to me, you are simply Number 1.
