Potter's Field
Scarred field void of dreams
receives another unclaimed
single June lily.

March (from Calendar-Scenic America)
Angry beach and sky
huge wave crashing red lighthouse
birds, helical fence

A Bear Market
A lesson is learned each session.

Investment brokers
Uplifted spirits, enthusiasm, sweetheart
finally time to enjoy retirement start.
They know what they are doing, world's biggest,
take our money, invest, you are wisest.
Only two percent for your expertise, a bargain.
Down fifty percent, we are done, pass the gin.

Travelogue #1-Western Siberian Wedding
Western Siberia,
Soviet Union dissolved,
Western capital welcome
oil projects abundant.
Old oil town, five story shelters, sandy streets.
One restaurant, good for all.
Reservations for Saturday
wedding underway, music playing, laughter.
We look at them, they look at us

Lock-in Mentor
One decade young now court protected
broken law or broken trust one selected
qualifying supervised life and school
learning behavioral and societal rule
attitude and group interaction earns merits
much depends upon background one inherits
therapist decides and monitors progress
another level rewarded sometimes regress
mentor gently encourages discipline in life
way for success if only to avoid feared strife
wishing you happiness after release
praying you find loving arms and not police
only first name no address when we part
just a bittersweet snapshot in my heart.
(dedicated to my wife, a very caring mentor)
