Remember The Poor
Have sympathy for the poor
In your solemn prayers today.
Think of the distress they endure
Trying to survive day after day,
Then open up your generous heart
To the destitute people suffering so.
Spread words of aid and comfort -
Be an advocate everywhere you go.

A Diploma
Today, a diploma was placed in a graduate's hand,
Surely, it must of felt worthy and so grand.
A significant document with a school seal attached,
Brought back memories of a similar match.
A clear vision that I can readily see
Of a time when a diploma was handed to me.

At Day's End
I yearn so much your genuine love
After my daily tasks are done.
I yearn your precious words of encouragement
Until my stress in life is done.
I yearn the sympathy that in your heart lies
After all the strenuous labor is done.
I yearn the radiant smile on your face
After viewing the glorious setting sun.

The Crocus
I saw a purple crocus today,
Though it barely could be seen,
While all around was white,
And the landscape seemed to gleam.
I saw a purple crocus today,
The sky was bright and clear,
And yet I know it meant for me
That the spring season was near.
I saw a purple crocus today,
That protruded through the snow,
It triggered a moment of excitement,
And meant a lot for me to know.

Once Upon A Summer Day
Once upon a Summer day,
Birds chirped in a musical way,
Grass drenched in the morning dew,
The sky covered in a vast color of blue.
Once upon a summer day,
Flowers bloomed in full array,
Bright rays of sunlight spilled
Upon my garden on the hill.
Once upon a summer day,
Thunder rumbled and prolonged its stay,
But after the rain tumbled down,
This summer day wore a glorious rainbow crown.

Hurrah! It's Spring
Many birds are harboring in the trees,
Hurrah! It must be Spring.
Their presence is highly gratifying
As the song birds begin to sing.
I have endured the long, dreary Winter,
And cherish the Spring season anew,
Excited to bid a cordial welcome
To the unclouded sky of light blue.
And so with each passing day,
It seems I encounter a new surprise,
As picturesque wonders of Spring
Are manifested before my eyes.

Beauty Of A Wedding Day
Beauty brightens the wedding day
with purity of conduct at bay,
And innocence lies dormant now
marked by uncertainty on the brow.
A wedding, like a bell doth ring,
Attached to the heart with a string,
And ecstasy, dawning the eyes,
Reflects the marvel of the skies.
The vows taken on a wedding day by far,
like the sanctity of life and character are,
And the animation in the eyes more bright
than the moonlight on a tranquil night.

A Valentine Day Thought
How radiant the endearment
Of the Valentine Day's soothing light,
Overwhelming the heart with tenderness
And escalating romance to a greater height.
See all the ardent lovers rejoicing
In a special and an unforgettable way,
A sparkle of love intensifying in the heart
To share and cherish on this Valentine Day.
May the warmth of Valentine Day
And the affectionate words you say or hear,
Keep the spirit of love and devotion in your heart
Today and throughout the year.

A Teacher's Prayer
Oh Lord - give me the strength to be a caring teacher,
Cognizant of all children who need a helping hand.
Give me the tolerance to assist those
Who are struggling to learn and understand.
May I lay aside my impatience,
And help those children who can not cope,
And let me ardently encourage those
Who came to me seeking hope.
When the rigors of teaching weigh me down,
So low that I need a supportive hand,
Till then, I pray, to show me the way
To serve all children the best that I can.

A Child's Sweet Dream
Deep in the night where all dreams come true
is a candy factory just waiting for you.
Its storage room is filled with sugar and spice
and racks adorned with candy sweet and nice.
Peppermint sticks welcome you at the door,
and peanut brittle covers the entire floor.
Its walls of chocolate bars are at bay,
and make the candy factory a nice place to stray.
The candy factory is surrounded by lolipop trees
and you may choose one just as you please...
Deep in the night where all dreams come true
is a candy factory just waiting for you.
