The Lonely Tunnel
Vague words of humour incinerate laughter,
The one smiling looked upon with eyes of judgement,
A little less spoken out than the rest,
Yet a failure to make friends with the best.
Swim against the waves across the sea,
A stroke of brilliance, his mind,
His love life a joke to everyone in sight,
Unrealistic dreams to conquer and fight.
His hope of making a name unwise,
He still takes a chance, he still tries,
Closed to the world, closed between peripherals,
Words uttered nothing but lies.
Ward off the stranger approaching,
Keep away delusions to take over the world,
Argue different reasons to be lonesome again,
A heaven to the hell, his life a pain.
