What does it mean to be raped?
Forcible entry –
Force of saying no
Force of saying yes to no
A stranger on the bus
The man you say “I love you” too
The brother, the father
The friend
What does it mean to be raped?
No charge, no tale, no proof.
No semen.
Old bruises, faded. Fading.
Rape – to scream, oh to scream.
Inside.
If it is your brother, father, friend
“Man” you love
Only inside
To say – RAPE –
I was raped
The shame – the guilt
