Mystery Woman

Curves like an hourglass
hair as soft as silk
eyes as deep as the pacific
lovely legs as long as the Nile

The intelligences of a scholar
the voice of a siren
the soul of a poet
a perverted sense of humor

The perfect woman
unreachable by the average man
a dream
a fantasy

So cold
why so cold
where is the warmth
why did it leave

I feel it
its on the outside
running down my body
running away

How can I be so cold
if I'm surrounded by warmth
even as it covers my body
I feel so cold

first the warmth
now the light

In a perfect world
I wouldn't have to fantasize
you would be more than text on a computer
but the world is broken

In a perfect world
you would feel my love
you would feel my warmth
but the world is broken

Tears In My Throat

For years
tears have been behind my eyes
forced back
by a promise

A childhood
filled with tears
blocking
future tears all together

Choking on depression
pressure building
making my whole body hurt
making me hate everything around me

A fire in my stomach
making those tears boil
turning my self pity
into pure anger

Washed Away

It's hard to tell
what exactly is streaking my face
the water pouring over me
or the water leaving my eyes

Trying to use the scolding hot water
use it to wash away everything
the world
the pain

The warm water
running over me
then to the drain
taking nothing with it

The cool water
flowing into the drain
none of the pain circling with it
no matter how much I want it to

Cards
candies
stuffed animals
flowers

All of these are objects
objects that are bought
objects that are given
objects masking falsehood

Valentine's Day
it is suppose to be a holiday about love
about expressing that love
with things

Where is its background
what god/goddess inspired it
what event in history made this day
why do we celebrate Valentine's Day
