Hush Now, Child
Hush now child,
No need to say goodbye,
No winter song,
No gentle lullaby,
Be still now child,
You have no pain, no fear,
The time has come to pass,
This is your year,
Be calmed dear child,
For I stand by your side,
Don’t turn away now child,
We cannot hide,
Hold on now child,
Remember me with love,
And shine your light on me,
From up above,

Nothing Like A Rainbow
There’s nothing like a rainbow,
It takes you by surprise,
When rain makes way for sunshine,
It brightens up the skies.
The forming of a pattern,
So gentle on the eye,
A magical creation,
Superseding stormy sky.
It forms a pretty picture,
For all eyes to behold,
And leaves us all to wonder,
Could there be a pot of gold?
There’s nothing like a rainbow,
To bring colour to the view,
Unless, of course, you’re fortunate,
And catch a glimpse of two.

A Silver Sea
The sunshine sparkled on a silver sea,
I sat and watched some children on the sand,
I took some time to sit and simply, be,
I needed time alone, you understand?
The ocean merged into the sky above,
The children cast some shadows on the shore,
And though alone I feel the peace and love,
The way I have so many times before,
I watched a couple walking hand in hand,
Oblivious to others who may see,
An intimate embrace on golden sand,
Delighting in their tender company,
The sunshine sparkled on a silver sea,
And I had never ever felt so free.

Are You Asleep?
I spend my time,
When you are gone,
Just listening,
To a favourite song,
Or gazing somewhere,
Up above,
Or write a sonnet,
Words of love,
They tumble, tortured,
From the sky,
I’m feeling low,
And feeling high,
Distracted,
That’s the way to be,
I watch a movie,
On TV,
I catch the news,
On channel ten,
Storm and tempest,
Strike again,

Blinding Light
My life so harsh and hopeless,
And lived in deep despair,
So lost, alone and beaten,
For no one knew me there,
The end so close, foreboding,
Though welcomed by my soul,
I closed my eyes and entered,
The deepest, darkest hole,
I tumbled ever faster,
And moved so swiftly on,
My heart light as a feather,
Now knowing, I was gone,
Despair, I left so far behind,
And happy to be free,
I made my final journey,
To discover who was me,
