Light Rain

Today's been bad
The rain fell in torrents
Blighting out the sun behind sheets of wet
No light to be had in all the land
Today's been pretty bad
Though the rain foretells a usual cleansing
Today it only served to dampen my mood
Today was a bad day
And it heartens me to feel the twilight beckon
Today was bad
But the rain still serves to clean it
And I may go outside to dance
In the twilight
In the rain
