i feel bad hitting branch
with my errant golf ball
it broke it off and fall
i pick up, large as thumb
there's lot of power behind
that flying ball, i imagine
it could be weight of cones
that contributes to breaking
then i thought; gardener who
died who got hit by errant ball

beneath pine trees roars
from happy kids hunting
some are counting eggs
some find money coupons
you see their expressions
how they value their prizes
as proud parents watching
they are very, very contagious

i box food i wasn't able to eat
which i usually throw it away
after watching documentaries
in far away land where food
is scarce that sometimes
riots occur just for buying
situation; sometimes i forget
in my fridge and i feel guilty

i color code those boxes

fog shrouding your beauty
from my adoring eyes
steady mast, leafless trees
empty shore except crabs
teasing ebbing tide
sun begging for the clouds
slow traffic, yellow flashing light
fog too thick, won't take a chance

take you in, push you out
from ocean floor to land up above
