040410f Beautiful Island Of Guam

guam is very nice place
i fish and swim all day
there's this diving board
at polaris point, water so
clear, see fishes all around
i mean eye to eye, honestly

saturday i go to gabgab beach
mingle with the locals, most are
from my hometown; i have fun
we have many beach parties
broiled fish with tomato and onion
we talk, talk, eat, eat til afternoon

040810j Tiger Is Still A Tiger

i was watching masters on tv
i'm impressed how gallery
welcome tiger on his first
tournament since november
there's a bit of change in there
he's acknowledging fans

on back nine; familiar scream
followed by flapping iron club
ball is pin high; hit the crowds
good lie; chip to green, bogey
recovered to eagle; four under
viewers increase; remarkable

051011E Taste Good What Can I Say

fridge keep my food juicy
climate controlled hi-tech
that's what they advertise
i wonder if it's really true
outside looks is very fancy
inside i don't know, it's full

sitting here, later check food
whatever is available; get it
soon i, i have to replenish
infinitesimal tasting; not funny
satisfaction; demanding buds
surely will ruin my beautiful abs

041010l Piece Of The Past

my sister is five and i'm three
we went to my aunt to play
our older cousin told my sister
our baby brother was taken
by big spider and my mom
is looking for him in the farm

my sister rouse all neighbors
about the news; she's crying
leaving me wondering how
those house spider get so big
she was holding my hand so tight
she won't let go, i never forget

042411G passing to young ones

english wasn't spoken here
but smiles pointing to more,
more food to consume for
day before dusk settles in
dessert occupies whole table
drinks name it, we have them

kids learning to eat grilled fish
brave enough to see eyeballs
or tentacles of a squid, culture
it must be taste that attracts
or copying elders how to do it
mom feeds me when i was kid

Native Indian Feast

feathers on their heads wet
canvass canopy start to drip
drums chant to heaven's part
trinkets hand made in tepees
find their way in small cases
where few bucks gets you piece

clouds not kind to lowlanders
it keeps on pouring for hours
dancers huddle beneath with me
their faces aren't that happy
food wagon cooking food, sweet
burgers, hot dogs good to eat

AE01 where is she?

i'm fish gliding in shallows
pushing weeds with my fins
some caught between; wiggle
good slime cover, i'm free
searching for deeper, wider
try newly discovered speed

why is that kid following me
he's different, no fishing pole
but a loser hat, hiding his face
i would stop; i will somersault
:) he's excited as i am, a fish
looking for muse, even just wish

When My Shadow Is Small

my favorite bridge is close
peeling paints, rusting steel
water beneath beautiful still
fishes passing; crabs digging
seaweeds dance with currents will
rocks love kisses from waves

heron stood in middle of lake
spearing unknowing minnows
tiny ripples reach sea grass
unblinking fat frog still hide
me alone standing atop a rock
with smile i watch all of that

Walking On Greens

new condominiums line street
once this place totally left
across a beautiful landscape
cradling golf course at best
geese were official residents
they're everywhere even lakes

trees are tall skirting fairways
flowers teeming with wild bees
greens so nice but hard to read
wind is going crazy i confess
swirling and heavy to thread
still i enjoy this round, sweet

050910G lovely spider

match box divided in cubicles
housing six master weavers
treated as pet and a fighter
daily feed with fly or mosquito
a dropp of water is helpful too
isolation makes them angrier

their hairs start to fade away
time to release; set them free
to place you caught them play
they live short, longer than fly
yellow eggs; what they have
thousand legs when they hatch
