Mountain and Sugar

A mountain towers into the air
A piece of chocolate, reaching halfway to the sky
Clouds dance by, in the dim light
Car headlights trickle by the freeway below
It’s a piece of art, with intricate designs
Wind blows and I hear it
with a tinkle of snow
Cars tumble by noisily creating the harmony of winter
What’s at the top?
My fingers grip ice cubes one by one and my mouth dries up
freezing
A peaceful feeling comes over me for half a second
And I taste snowflake sugar on my tongue
The piece of chocolate reaching halfway to the sky
I now climb up
Sugary flakes sprinkle from above
