To A.C.

Marriage held but just ourselves
For years and years on end
Then Nature cried- A son was born
We raised our glass again.

Who knows the wine of that first toast
With vows lingering on the glass
With hearts and eyes in nuptial bliss
Mindless of the years to pass.

Now 32 have blessed our vows
Each day defining a new “holy” role
The casks overflow with Cana’s wine
Sanctified by your faithful soul.

Our lives brought love to this world
Yours brought love to me
Elysium…I know it well
It comes each anniversary

The crescent moon knows nothing
Of our nocturnal delight
Embracing arms and legs so soft
Such harmony in the night.

The stars can only imagine
The sighs and whispers in your ear
The clear blue heavens hover and bless
Your radiant heart so dear.

The champagne pours like a river
Into the solitude of space
Angels beam while seraphim sing
