Lost Opportunity

She walks with recomendation
I think about the future
'Will I ever see her again? '
She moves in a way I have seen no other
I think of the future
'I'm all too sure she will make a good mother.'
She speaks with grace and the utmost delight
I think about the future
'What's it like to be with her in the middle of the night? '
She goes out the door like a bird from a cage
I think of the future
'In time you want more, like a heart on stage.'
She turns around and says goodbye
I think about the future, of the lost opportunity
'I hope to see you again, to show you how to fly.'
