Inevitable

Inevitable is the rising and setting of the sun
The rising and falling of the tides
The opening and closing of your eyes
The agony of labour
The birth and death of life

The Island

Alive in this island of seclusion
As my fearful eyes witness
The maelstrom multitude of the mighty waves
Placing my nation in deep peril
The tides of tyranny the tides of terror smashing into the shores
Tide after tide draws nearer and nearer out to destroy what I live for
Freedom and fraternity, peace and serenity
All in this island I adore
The waves ever-nearer, are out to fill
My island with things I abhor

Pity Not Evil!

Tears of blood reflects the pain in my eyes
Watching devils lurking and dancing in human disguise
Satan's sharp tongue hisses with a melodically eloquent rhythm
Humanity left in an innocent child-like trance and no one to defend them
Before it is seized!
Indeed Evil is very cunning!
Mankind snatched from all sides,
Wrapped around and squeezed by the satanic tongue
It's devilish grip ever-so tight
Pity not Evil!
For there is no mercy from Evil ever in sight!

Ungrateful

Bismillahi ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
We feast after fasting
Unleash the beast after basking
In the heat, truly a hard thing
We can be ungrateful and mean when we are starving
Why complain when we are not being co-erced?
People in the Third World dying to quench their first
People in the Third World trying to live on this earth
Fasting without choice everyday since birth
It is crazy we must learn and reflect on life
Be grateful to Our Lord, Our Creator, Our Maker who gave us life
Gave us clean water, food and shelter
While others get slaughtered and their happiness in this dunya deprived
They move with misery and oppression follows
While we enjoy our wealth, possessions and the food we swallow
Think about the pain and sorrow
And pray for a better tomorrow
And spread peace and be the example for us all to follow
Be kind and gentle, don't let the sane mind go mental
Fight and defend all rights to the end
