Faded Hero

I’m leaving you alone
Moving on, living on my own
No sympathy is needed
My heart was diseased, and it couldn’t be treated
The shadows are calling
I’m forced to start crawling
The dark skies are all I can see
Every time I took a step it felt like you were mocking me
I made the same mistake twice
Should’ve taken my friend’s advice
Tearing this S off my chest, I wasn’t a hero
Didn’t have a heart, but you divided it by zero
Great job, ya get a standing ovation
Tearing through my emotions without an explanation
The pain didn’t bother me ‘til just now
So stand up, and let everyone see you bow.

Nice Guys

I should change my personality
Then I’d do better
I would feel worse
When a mirror is in front of me
Nothing hurts worse
Then finishing last
Knowing everyone’s right
But trying to get past
Treating her right
Giving her the world
I’m with her, and she’s with me
The only time she cries
Is when she’s happy
Money isn’t the problem
Neither is time
I put everything into it
And felt like I was committing a crime
The next girl is gonna win the race
I can’t change me
Nice guys finish last
