The rose that grew from Concrete

Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong,
it learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.

I look for peace in time of war
I found peace in turmoil
Abundant peace I seek in love
Abundant peace in the wrong turn
I hoped for peace within beauty
In its ugly, it really lives
I reached for peace in victory

What to fear

I need not fear a hundred battles to come
Because many thousands more I've fought
I do not fear the sword that awaits me there
Stuck with more, walking with them like a bear
I need not fear the fear of the unknown
Because its own fear left him scared below
I do, however, fear killers of dreams
While I'm alive they kill everyday from within.

Help me cry for the beautiful bird
So full of life and spotless in nature

The one who found refuge and treat me with pleasure

The bird who shield me with feather and showed me love

You can see the pride in the panther

Can You See the Pride In the Panther
As he grows in splendor and grace
Topling obstacles placed in the way,
of the progression of his race.
Can You See the Pride In the Panther
as she nurtures her young all alone
The seed must grow regardless
of the fact that it is planted in stone.
Can You See the Pride In the Panthers
as they unify as one.
The flower blooms with brilliance,
and outshines the rays of the sun.

Black Woman

The day I met you I saw strength
and I knew from that point on
that you were pure woman to me
possessing a spirit that was strong
I want smiles to replace the sorrow
that you have encountered in the past
and since it was strength that attracted me to you
it will take strength to make it last
My negative side will attempt to change you
but please fight that with your all
it will be your strength that keep us both standing
while others around us fall
