Pain of Reality

Stopped caring yesterday
began one day in December
raised its head one day in May

Blunder upon blunder
steals my innocence
living lost in space alone
reality gives way to nonsense

Freedom beckons an echoing tune
with too many scars, my mind is numb
scars bestowed upon others like candy
bittersweetness melting on their tongue

Wondering what is wrong with me

Brightest Star

Brightest star in the sky
surrenders no light in the dark
where anger breeds unkept
in a lifeless world unkind
words that scorch the heart
as a ruthless nuclear fallout

misshapen growth of cancer
destroys life in a single blow
upon the wind
of a radioactive wave
brightest star in the sky
unable to penetrate the poison
in the self - destruction of life
where anger breeds unkept
in a world unkind

lies a meaning to life
where the window’s reflection
has one before, one behind

Together seen unknown
like the axis of an eye
a kaleidoscope of kind
not known by our mind
