I Choose You
In all the creation tha the creator has created
I choose you to be vulnerable to
I choose you to be broken in front of
I choose you to show the weaker side of the giant that I am
I choose you to show the inner being I never showed to any human being
At the strength of my weakness
I only have the strength to choose
My weakness is too strong to allow me to back off
My weakness is too strong to allow me to change my mind
My weakness is too strong to allow me to vacillate, oscillate or fluctuate
At the strength of my weakness
I still have a second chance to choose
I still choose you

A Rhythm of a Heart That Loves
I hear the beating of a heart
A heart that beats with a rhythm
A rhythm I can understand
A rhythm I can sing unto
A rhythm of a heart that loves
It is this rhythm that makes me do things
Things I would otherwise not do
It is this rhythm that makes me say things
Things I would otherwise not say
It is this rhythm that makes me have thoughts
Thoughts I would otherwise not have
A rhythm of a heart that loves
It’s a rhythm of a heart that excessively loves
It’s a rhythm of a heart that disproportionately, intensively, severely and extremely loves
It’s a rhythm of a heart that loves

What if it rains?
A farmer sows the seed
Even if he doesn't know whether it will rain or not
He waits for the rain,
Patiently hoping that the clouds will come
That the rain will come
What if it doesn't rain?
It is painful to wait for the dark without clouds
You never know whether you should continue waiting or not
As the dark approaches without the cloud,
You can't help but ask yourself one question,
What if it doesn't rain?
What if it rains?
What if the seed becomes a tree?
What if the fruit grows and the birds build nests
What if the cooing of doves is heard in the land?
The dark is without clouds
But the farmer continues waiting

The Freedom Of The Soul
Am I not supposed to be singing emancipation?
Am I not supposed to be dancing in elation?
Am I not supposed to be jumping in rejuvenation?
How can I sing when my heart is bleeding?
It is not the wounds of yesterday
It is not the wounds of the past
It is the wounds of today
My heart is bleeding
As they sing free at last
As they jump in emancipation
As they sigh a sigh of relief
But my heart is bleeding
For they sing freedom when they are not free
How is freedom freedom if your soul is in bounds?
How is freedom freedom if your spirit is still in chains?
The freedom of the soul is greater than the freedom of the flesh
