Randa Patrick

Sweet to Sour *In An Instant

Sweet taste,
Just like candy,
Sticks like paste,
Perfectly dandy.

Then it turns sour,
Sweet disappears,
Loses all power,
Returning all fears.

Pain comes back,
Sight and sound, too.
Beginning to crack,
Lost with the crew.

Leaving this town,
Place and time,
Withdrawing my crown,
Forgetting the crime.
