Our steps are nothing special
Just an ode to tradition

The revolutionist are gone
Our campfire musketeers
Cigars, rum and love.

For my brother I will not meet
End your curiosity if you can
Our worlds are great distances apart
Let us take refuge in our desolate sky

For my brother of La Isla Grande
Your struggles are mine and the sea
At which you swear with great contempt
Will one day carry me to you

My brother from the mountain
From the Guama River, del campo,
Man of hoyos and magotes, I love you
Like mothers love children,
But I spite you in my sleep
