My Dog Would
My dog would pull me from a fire.
or from drowning in the sea.
Save me from street muggers
who are mean as they can be.
My dog would have a Bulldog
scared and shaking in his knees
My dog would…if he could…
but he's just a Pekinese.

Best Friends Again
There's a beautiful place in Heaven
for dear pets who pass away.
It's there they wait in happiness
for their very special day.
When God's angels call my name
one pets wait will end,
as we run to greet each other
and become best friends again..

Sports Fan
I love baseball and football.
basketball, and hockey too.
Boxing, golf and wrestling,
but not as much as I love you.
Never think I put sports first.
You're more important to me.
Now bring me a drink & pretzels,
and get outta' the way of the TV!

Deeds Of love
With ears, hear My word.
With feet, follow Me.
With hands, do My work,
today and endlessly.
With mouth, teach My gospel.
With head, bow in prayer.
With heart, show compassion
to My children everywhere.
With eyes, be ever searching.
looking for another's needs.
Let the love you have for Me
be shown by loving deeds.

Love Like Flowers
Our love was like the flowers
I held on our wedding day.
Beautiful and wonderful.
Perfect in every way
At first they were so lovely
but in time began to die,
and as each petal slowly fell
I began to cry.
Our love was like the flowers
I held on our wedding day.
Once beautiful and wonderful.
Now dried up, and gone away.

A Time For Goodbye
There's a time for us to live,
and a time that we must die.
A time to say hello,
and a time to say goodbye.
Although it's very hard
to tell you goodbye now,
we'll wipe away our tears
and continue on somehow.
Then when our life is over
and we leave this life we know,
they'll be telling us goodbye
while we're telling you hello

Watching You
You never know when someone?
just might be watching you.?
The little things you say, ?
and the little things you do.
Perhaps a pure sweet child,
or someone that you love.
Or someone who respects you,
or God, watching from above.
There never is a single time
you're completely out of sight.
It may not matter how you live,
But then again…it might! ?

Compliments
I've been told that I am thoughtful,
that my feet are on the ground.
Some say that I am likeable
and fun to be around.
It's been said that to my principles
I stand firm and true.
That I'm dependable and honest
In the things I say and do.
But the single greatest compliment
that I have ever had,
Is when somebody told me,
"You remind me of your dad."

No More Tears
No more tears are left to fall.
I've cried so long I cried them all.
I must be strong. I must be brave,
but it's so hard here at your grave.
I pray that God will help me heal.
He knows the sorrow that I feel.
His love is pure, His purpose true.
I can't forget He loves you too.
With all my soul, and all my heart,
I'll trust in Him while we're apart,
for only He can ease my pain,
until we are together again.

Our Favorite Recipe
Put a man who's good and wholesome
into a mixing pan.
Then, add one woman full of love
and blend well with the man.
Add any children of the man,
and the woman's children too.
Stir them all together
as you would a pot of stew.
Then a little bit of sugar
and fourteen cups of love.
Sprinkle in some blessings
from the heavens high above.
When you have completed
this amazing recipe,
you will have created
a blended family.
