Life is...................

Life is
but a tear-drop
clinging briefly
to a smile.

Reality of dreams

With courage and tenacity
Some dreams become reality.
Whilst others, I find,

Pink confused a white rose red

Pink confused a red rose white
Dipping sun sets day to night.
Guileless dawn joins light with dark;
Hateless, awe-filled, works of art.
Nature paints each their skin;
Not a choice, nought to win.
No thorn pricked, no blood bled,
pink infused a white rose red.

What it is that we should treasure?

If it’s not love then,
Or heav’n above, when
we receive the farewell sermon,
will we remain then
singing and playing
amongst the decaying heather?

that rolling, dipping view

Demurely held by iron cuffs
and vivid coral bars,
our heroine waits in vain
to once again track stars

Morays peer, then slide away
and tiny fans withdraw
protecting Neptune's solitude
our rude descents ignore
