Untitled

Living in a
Mesmerized world
Revisited by a dear soul
When darkness inhabits all around
Light pours from another world

Bringing with it
A rush of warmth
A joy - of finding this treasure lost
A smile that was put aside
just for this moment
She wears it and soars
High up
Above the clouds

She floats around
Carefree and listless
Holding hands with happiness
Locked in a gentle clasp
Flickers of fervor

Honed By Pain

With feet that dance after crossing a burning terrain
Blisters unseen by many eyes
A distant gleam of sorrow escapes when the saga of her bygone days surface
A vision of elegance and resilience
Just sitting there, happy to be

What happened remains a secret that should never be told
what she did with it, is what one should uphold
stormy nights only smoothed her hair
Tears she shed rendered more glistening to her eyes
The pain endured just lays in the depth of her bosom
burning there to exude warmth and passion
Like a rock she stays, surface only smoothed by the pounding waves
With a smile that sparkles like a diamond
She prevails
To inspire
To be there
For anyone that needs.

A Mother's Wish

Smile
My child
See through those twinkling eyes
Just feel what I already know
You are loved
Immeasurably so

Skip my child,
Go as far as you can
Let those little feet take the leap
Just skip my child and go along

Laugh my love
Laugh aloud
Close your eyes don't care about the crowd

Love my dear
Love all you can
It may sting, well so what
In time it will heal

Just A Thought

On a sunny afternoon when
rain pours on my wooden deck
sometimes at dusk when I drive
as the evening lights begin to glimmer
daily routine is conjured up
and then the old tune plays on my radio
I am reminded again of that smile of yours
I heave a sigh and find myself with you
Eons have passed
The dust has settled
I have moved on
And so have you
Yet every now and then
You seize my thoughts

What is this hold I feel
I wonder now
Could this be real
Can this exist
I have read it in fairy tales
