True Word Unspoken

A ray of light
A warm spark of emotion
Till it's dark as night
Slurred in slow motion
A glimmer remains
But turns to stone
Overcast in reset
I am the unknown
My spark disguised
Curled into a ball
Hidden and safe
Never recognised at all
Withdrawn but protected
True word unspoken
I remain undetected
Forced to be unwoken
The hurt inside loud
I've tried to break out
Inside I am proud
I have tried to shout

Innocence & Guilt

INNOCENCE, as its defined,
Is a state of being free.
Freedom from evil deeds,
A life of purity.

It doesn’t cause another pain,
Nor strive to offend.
Innocence is blameless,
No harm does it intend.

In it there is no malice,
Within no darkness hides.
Sin has never breached it,
No evil there resides.

GUILT is more than acquainted
With causing an offence.
Its where the blame is found,
For it has no defense.

In the Land of Childhood

In the magic land of childhood,
Where all children fondly dwell,
There’s a pocketful of daydreams,
And a story sweet to tell,
A land of true believing,
Where each happy child stands tall,
And a million golden moments,
Where life’s tiny sunbeams fall.

Childhood holds a place enchanted,
Where no grownup can invade.
There’s an ignorance unequalled,
That just never seems to fade.
There is laughter soft and gentle,
With a hope that’s running wild,
And a world of dreaming,
In the heart of every child.

I am sure the children are loved,
As he gazes from above,

A Teddy Bear Is Forever

There’s a spot in the garden of childhood,
That children and adults can share;
A place in the heart and memory,
For one’s very own stuffed teddy bear.

Now, a little girl’s dolls will get broken,
And a little boy’s kites fly away,
But a soft, cuddly teddy’s forever,
When we’ve gotten too grownup to play.

And a young lady’s dreams may be dampened,
And a man sees his plans go astray,
But a teddy bear kept from our childhood,
Through life’s troubles will faithfully stay.

For whether it’s kept in a bookcase,
Or lying on top of one’s bed,
A teddy bear waits for it’s owner,
With eyes wide awake in it’s head.

The Sad Cafe

You sit inside the Sad Cafe,
eyes tinged crimson red.
A shattered fearful heart today,
every dream has fled.

Broken tokens, love not spoken,
marred and scarred your soul.
Pause to make life's cause reopen,
then regain control.

Cafe of torn and broken hearts,
victims of deceit.
Their healing dreams now grown apart,
wrapped inside conceit.

Confusion is their constant song,
background music sung.
The caring Sad Cafe belongs,
brightly shines it's sun.

Give Me A Home

Give me a home to call my own
A humble home of wood or stone;
A place where ripples laugh all day
And songbirds sing and children play
A little home of love and cheer
Where seasons paint throughout the year,
And at last, when the day is through,
A place where I may talk with you.

Give me a home to call my own,
A friendly home to stand alone
And crown some earthly mound of clay
Or set before an ocean spray,
A simple home of faith and trust
Where I may toil in Heaven's dust
And when, anew, each day is through,
A place where I may be with you.

Give me a home to call my own,
A common home of tree or stone;

That Vision In The Sky

As seas thrash out storms
And the winds carry leaves
New composition forms
As our dream perceives

Amongst waters blue
Unicorns run free
Leaving traces of you
In thoughts sent to me

An overcast sky
Clouds shatter the display
A vast intent supply
As the slow shores sway

The rapids in my heart
Sing a ballad so unique
A masterpice of art
As light rays cast oblique

Star For Safekeeping

In the cool night sky a girl gracefully sits upon a star
Looking down upon her love watching from afar
Every glance is filled with love, the purest affection
Every blink drops stardust kisses, sent in his direction.

He can see me in his dreams, this angel from above
Soaring through the sky, on our star dripping with love
Knowing my thoughts are always there, right by his side
Always holding his hand and forever beaming with pride.

Sometimes we may struggle, and find things hard
Words may have been said, leaving each other scarred
But no matter where we go, or whatever comes our way
Always fighting for what we believe, and together we stay

So when this angel upon a star is looking down on you
Know she's sorry for the times it's been difficult to get through
I believe one day the star will twinkle down upon us sleeping
And we can be together always, then the star is for safekeeping.

Peregrine Vulture

Death lurks with laughing, flashing eyes
and fusty-fetid forlorn sighs;
Salacious beast in sheol's mask-
gravedigger digging at his task.

Peregrine Vulture, viscid sweet,
devouring Western culture neat.
And lipid leavings steam the streey-
while proud piped pipers play the beat.

Most Western cultures waft and wane,
rejecting poverty's canard.
Spawn from alien earthen plane;
naive nouvea it's own petard.

eternal songs of freedom ring;
neo-cons kneel to 'just their drum,
hearing only neo-cons sing
and humming their own hubis hum.
