Silver Mines in the Sky
Moist Silver mines
waiting dark and deep
When will come the time
when miners take the leap?
Blast charges,
Rock removal,
Tunnels to be made
Slow Measures,
Due Process,
Tracks to be laid
Silver deposits
cluttered together
will soon be extracted
but not today
A job deemed protracted

Love Cats
Unsure this and unsure that
If I can't love you, I will love a cat
A cat that is clean,
A cat that is nice
If you're going to be mean
Then she will suffice
A love from a feline
Will be easy to take
Oh how I'll love all
The purring she'll make
I just hope to keep the fur balls away
And adapt to sleep not at night but all day.

She 'done gone and did it'
She pulled it out

It had grown long before
Back in earlier days
I had kept it short myself
using several different ways
After time had gone by
I wanted to let it grow
I decided to give it a try
and become a freak show
I'd let it grow down to my hips
or maybe to my knees
this hair could grow up to my lips
or at least to my kidneys
She'd noticed it that day in passing

Lizzy Liz Liz
One day I had decided
to jot down some words that described you
so I took out my notebook
unsheathed my Paris pen
gave my old memory a look
and thought of old times again
That one night at your junior prom
oh how could I forget
so many words then came to mind
from that night you made me sweat
getting lost of course sticks out
then of course your cool dress
Denny's with Mian, pictures to tout
though i wish I did impress
then came up the park and beach
those places were more fun with you
and oh how much fun it was to teach
